A gift in your Will

The most common planned gift is a gift in your Will. This can be a specific amount or a percentage of or the residual of your estate. There are no costs to you today, and your estate will gain a tax credit for the full current market value of your planned gift.

More Gifting Options

Life Insurance

You can name the YMCA of Northern Alberta Foundation as the beneficiary or owner of a life insurance policy (or a portion of it).

At a moderate current cost paying annual premiums you receive an annual tax receipt, or by donating the realized policy, your estate will receive the tax receipt. Both options provide a meaningful gift to the Y.

Stocks and Securities

Transfer your stocks to the YMCA of Northern Alberta Foundation to receive a full tax receipt for their market value at the time of your donation.

For information on how to make your donation of securities, please contact:

Reinsured Charitable Gift Annuities

By establishing a charitable gift annuity, you can make a gift today while ensuring you have a guaranteed fixed income for the future.

RRSPs & RRIFs

You can name the YMCA of Northern Alberta Foundation as the beneficiary or owner of your Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) or Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF).

This process is simple: your retirement plan administrator can provide a form to complete this inclusion.

Whatever you choose, we can help you get started.
