Get ready to explore Canada from coast to coast in this 6-week virtual cycling adventure, presented by the YMCA as the digital lead-up to Y Ride: Cycle for Kids on November 14.
Inspired by longtime YMCA champion Don Patterson’s 7,232 km ride from Vancouver to St. John’s, the challenge invites you to take on the virtual journey one achievable ride at a time.

The challenge runs from October 1 to November 13. Download the Optimity app, join the challenge, and start tracking your rides. You can cycle outdoors, indoors, or on a stationary bike, every ride contributes to your virtual journey across Canada. Pre-enroll by September 30 for a chance to win 1 of 3 $50 Amazon gift cards.

As you ride, you’ll build your total distance, reach virtual milestones, earn Gems, and move through leaderboard tiers in friendly competition. Once the challenge begins, you can also earn raffle entries for chances to win 22 additional prizes, including weekly gift cards and a Garmin vívoactive 6 smartwatch.
