The Y Ride: Cycle for Kids
Join us for a morning of riding, music, and fun to support kids in our community!

- Pre-Event Breakfast: 8–9am
- Ride Challenge: 9am–12pm
- Prizes & Awards: 12–12:30pm
Funds raised during Y Ride will support Strong Kids, Strong Communities, creating opportunities for children, youth and families to access YMCA programs and services including health and wellness programs, swimming lessons, summer day camps, child care and other vital community supports.

Children's Programming
Children’s sports and recreation programs use age-appropriate activities and game practice to develop fundamental movement skills.
Group Fitness
There is no better fitness experience than working out in a group fitness class. Come join our community and stay active!
Facility Amenities
Find strength and cardio machines, free weights, Olympic weightlifting platforms, functional training spaces and a track in our second-floor fitness centre to support your wellness goals!
Make a splash in our main pool or smaller teach pool located on the main floor through one of three general change rooms, or our two second-floor Plus change rooms.
Our first-floor gymnasium can host a variety of activities, from basketball and soccer to badminton and pickleball! Some equipment can be provided.
Our centre has two large studio spaces, one behind our front desk and the other on the north side of our centre. To use these spaces, please speak with a staff member.
Our family zone is a space for families to spend quality time together, as an included part of your membership.
Shoot some hoops, relax at picnic tables or play on the children's equipment in our accessible outdoor space!

Facility Closures Update
Please note the following temporary closures at Castle Downs Family YMCA.
October 5 – November 16
Elevator: Closed for important repairs.
Access to the second floor: The second floor is accessible by stairs only while the elevator is out of service.
Until repairs are completed
Pool lift: Temporarily closed while repairs are underway. We are working to complete the repairs as quickly as possible.
Monday, November 9 at 6:00 a.m. – Friday, November 13 at 6:00 a.m.
Roof drain repairs will temporarily limit the use of the track and gymnasium. The following areas will be unavailable to members:
- Track: Half of the track will be closed.
- Gymnasium: The north side of the gymnasium will be closed.
Programs will continue to operate during this time, but available space will be reduced. Please plan accordingly.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these temporary closures may cause. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete these important repairs.
